Kelly Phillips - Hospital Manager & Licensed Veterinary Technician
Hi my name is Kelly & I became a Licensed Vet Tech in 2003 & the hospital manager for Marbletown animal hospital in 2010. Overall I have worked in the veterinary field for over ten years & in a few different hospitals allowing me to experience handling both small & large animals, exotics, emergency & critical care patients as well as hospitals that have offered a holistic approach to veterinary medicine. I have always felt truly fortunate to be able to work with animals on a daily basis & experience the human animal bond first hand. My husband & I have four dogs of our own so I know just how special it is to have them be a part of your family with the unconditional love & companionship they provide. I have lived in the Hudson valley for most of my life & over the years I have worked with many of the doctors & other staff members that currently work at Marbletown. For this reason I felt very honored to be offered the position of hospital manager for Marbletown Animal Hospital because I can honestly tell you that you won’t find a staff more dedicated to the care of your pet than the doctors & staff that we have here at Marbletown Animal Hospital.
Tammie Decker North, Licensed Veterinary Technician
My name is Tammie Decker North. I graduated from SUNY Delhi New York in 1999 with an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology. I have been working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 1999, working with teams of professionals helping people and their pets (their loved one's). I wanted to be a Vet. Tech. since I was a young girl working with my dad on our little farm. I love all animals and have 3 dogs (Mac, Precious, and Snowball) and 2 cats (Patches, and Bear).
Bethany Ayres-McManus - Veterinary Assistant
Hi my name is Bethany. I live in New Paltz with my husband, Dylan and our cat, Riot. I started working in the veterinary field when I was 14 years old. At that point I was cleaning kennels and caring for the sick and boarding animals before school and assisting the doctor on weekends. I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Oregon several years later. My husband and I moved to New York in 2005 for his Master's at SUNY New Paltz. I managed The Bakery in New Paltz for 3 years during his Master's then decided I needed a more fulfilling career and found Marbletown Animal Hospital. I had come full circle. I just finished the Veterinary Technician program at SUNY Ulster and I can't wait to find out what kind of adventures the future holds.
Laurie Hutter - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Hello, My name is Laurie Hutter. I completed my Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology at SUNY Delhi in December 2009 and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in March 2010. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology Management in December 2011. I have had a love for animals since I was young and have a house full of pets including my bird, a Dusky Conure (Dusty), three cats (Lucky, Charcoal, and Edmund), a German Shepherd (Angel), a Ferret (Sparky), and fish. I look forward to meeting you and your pet family.
Megan Wooten - Veterinary Assistant
Hi, My name is Megan. I am currently living right here in Stone Ridge with my Husband Peter, Our two cats Echo and Angus and our dog Duncan. I also have a Quarter horse Quien that I board locally here in Stone Ridge. I am currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology Program at SUNY Ulster and will be graduating and taking my license in May 2012. I have loved animals my whole life and look forward to starting my career here at Marbletown Animal Hospital.
Victoria - Receptionist
My name is Victoria and I started working for the Marbletown Animal Hospital in 2007. Since then I have graduated SUNY Ulster, gone away to college at Buffalo State and now I hope to be graduating SUNY New Paltz this year with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. I love all types of animals (except spiders) and the house I share with my family has an eclectic collection of pets. We have a dog named Harley, two cats named Patch and Nora, many chickens (who all have names too), Molly the mini goat, a horse named Nola, and Casper the dwarf rabbit. I have a beautiful beta fish named David Bowie and a lovely ball python that is yet to be named. I have had experience handling everything from rats to alligators and I look forward to meeting all of your pets too.
